Against the same Hershey field hockey team that bounced them from the District 3 tournament, Cocalico returned the favor today in the PIAA quarterfinals. And once again it took overtime to declare a winner.
Cocalico 3, Hershey 2 - Final/OT
1. Hershey's Alyssa Voelmle starts the scoring off a penalty corner, 8:41 into the contest.
2. Tied at 1 at halftime, Cocalico's Jordan Page uses the same tactic off the corner serve from Taylor Kidwell, puts the Eagles ahead 2-1 with about 13 minutes left in the game.
3. Trojans get an equalizer with 8:31 to play from Lauren Wilson, forcing overtime.
4. OT - After breaking up a Hershey corner, Jessica Lawville starts the counter attack, gets it forward for Courtney Ueberroth, then follows up her teammate's shot for the game-winning goal with 4:18 left in the extra period.
The Eagles (20-5) meet Mount Saint Joseph in Tuesday's semifinal at Exeter H.S., 6pm.
