Senior forward scores overtime game-winner in PIAA Quarterfinal.
The Cocalico Eagles are in the midst of their finest field hockey season as a Triple-A school. And right in the middle of the action is senior Jessica Lawville.
The forward tallied two assists and one goal in the team's two state victories last week.
In overtime of Saturday's state quarterfinal game against Hershey, Lawville broke up a Hershey corner attempt, then led a fast break down the field. After passing the ball to Courtney Ueberroth, whose shot was denied, Lawville knocked in the rebound for the game-winner (see highlight below).
The Eagles will play District 1 runner up Mount St. Joseph in the semifinals tomorrow evening at 6pm at Exeter High School.
